Every Labor Day weekend, the Parsippany NJ Hilton is taken over as a nostalgic 50's weekend. This includes hanging a Drive-In movie screen on the side of the hotel and show 1950's triple-features. There are 33 bands and Doo-Wop acappella groups performing indoors and outdoors. The hotel parking lot and two adjacent lots are filled 1,500 1972 and earlier street rods, custom cars, and stock restore cars from over 23 states. There's even held a Senior Prom, 50's dance lessons, and a 1950's collectibles show.
This is a 50's party where people bring their BBQ's, lawn chairs, and pop-up tents.
